De URBAN PROOF gerecyclede shopper fietstas is één van de zes genomineerden voor de Fiets Innovatie Awards! Deze verkiezing wordt georganiseerd door RAI vereniging met als doel de fietsindustrie te stimuleren tot productvernieuwing. Oogmerk is om nieuwe en innovatieve artikelen op het gebied van fietsen extra onder de aandacht te brengen. De producten worden door een onafhankelijke jury, bestaande uit experts van de redactie van Tweewieler, NieuwsFiets, ANWB Media en RAI Vereniging, beoordeeld op onder andere innovatie, ontwerp en design, techniek en constructie, en prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding.
De URBAN PROOF (MAAKer U+) gerecyclede shopper fietstas is genomineerd door het gebruik van het duurzame RPET materiaal in combinatie met de aandacht voor design en gebruiksgemak. RPET staat voor gerecycled PET. De hoeveelheid materiaal dat in deze tas gebruikt is, staat gelijk aan 47 PET flesjes van 500ml, die hiermee een nieuw leven krijgen. Daarnaast doneren wij 5% van de opbrengst van elke verkochte tas aan LOVE. NOT WASTE., een Nederlandse non-profit organisatie die lokale strand schoonmaakacties aan de Nederlandse kust organiseert.
Op woensdag 10 maart is bekend geworden dat URBAN PROOF deze prachtige Fiets Innovatie Awards gewonnen heeft.
